Jesus had an 8 hour sleep, unheard of out here. Well all the AO Codes have changed so prepare to get as confused as I am as to why they thought this would be a good idea after 3 months? SO M1T=W6A, M1U=W6B, M1Z=W6H, M1P=W6K, M2A=W6J and M1N=W1W. So we went out on patrol today into W6K, and we got opened up on 3 times throughout the patrol.

On the first occasion no one could PID the firing position, still didn’t stop me from getting off a UGL in the general direction though! Oh yeah we have been told that we a bit to ‘gun ho’, at Qudrat so we have to 100% PID the enemy with a weapon before we can fire, well I say, fuck off you bellends! Easy for you to say that but when it’s you out here getting contacted everyday let’s see how long you’d last before you returned fire in the general direction. Anyway it was to the north so that’s where the bomb went. On the second however, Con PID a bloke and put a UGL down into him and so did I when I saw where it landed, and then the boss tried having a go at Con saying, ‘What the fuck Con, did you PID him?’, to which he replied how we all feel, ‘fuck no obviously no boss! But that’s the direction the fire was coming from so I was not just going to fucking stand here and take shit! I’d drop a fucking 1000lb Jaydam if I had it in that direction!’, would have been a tad overkill in my eye’s but you get the point he was making.

That’s what we learn from day one id RTR, it’s drilled into us to fire a couple rounds in the direction of fire when we train, so it’s like natural just to do it without thinking. I’m just going to RTR and if I get shit I’ll just say ‘Yeah course I saw the enemy!’ Who is going to say otherwise?
